Smart warehouse by RST-Invent

In May 2019, RST-Invent completed the project of creating a “smart warehouse” for the Moscow depot of Siemens, the leading global provider of solutions for long-distance and urban transport, road infrastructure and traffic management.

The RFID technology integrated into the warehouse is designed to automate the processes of reception and delivery of special equipment. The RST-Invent specialists organized an access control and management system (ACMS), an anti-theft system of entry / exit from a warehouse, and installed an RFID tunnel with a conveyor line through which the process of receiving and delivering marked equipment was organized.

“RFID warehouse automation is a solution that opens up many opportunities for the customer. In the case of Siemens, using our solution, the inventory process will be significantly accelerated, and the customer will always be up to date on the availability of special equipment in the warehouse,” comments Dmitry Sazonov, Head of Key Accounts.

On the basis of the modern motor car depot Podmoskovnaya, Siemens is responsible for the maintenance and repair of Sapsan and Lastochka trains. A full-fledged repair base is concentrated in one place, which allows to improve the quality of maintenance and reduce life cycle costs.
