From 2014 to 2017 RST-Invent and FSUE Russian Post successfully implemented a project of federal significance – the development of a global system for monitoring postal items using RFID technology (GMS), deploying a full RFID infrastructure that meets the requirements of the Universal Postal Union at 35 postal facilities including sorting centers and post offices. The system was created to control mail flows, identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the supply chain, as well as reduce delivery times.
After the successful implementation of the System at the end of 2018, a contract was signed between the companies for a three-year service and technical repair of the equipment of the GMS.
In 2019, Russian Post decided to scale up a joint project with RST-Invent, including the process of accounting and inventory of returnable packaging, in which RFID tags PatchTag, CandyTag and specially modified TargetTag for Russian Post will be marked two types of containers:
- Collapsible mail containers – polymer (KSRP-P)
- Mesh multi-turn mail containers (KPS-5)
“We value our long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation with Russian Post and are always ready to offer new effective ideas for automating the company’s business processes using the infrastructure we have already built,” commented Vitaliy Voytsekhovich, Deputy Commercial Director of RST-Invent.
