RST-Invent won the project of the Year 2019 contest of the best IT and digital transformation projects organized by the professional community of GlobalCIO IT directors | Digital Experts.
The project “Management of production resources using RFID technology for radio frequency identification of objects” won the nomination “The best IT project in the fuel and energy complex”.
The jury praised the presented project primarily for the complexity of implementation: RST-Invent was tasked with creating a tracking system for the movement of more than 300,000 customer movable and real estate objects throughout the Russian Federation, including objects located in remote regions with a complete lack of access infrastructure, mobile and wired communications. Specifically for the project, PatchTag RFID tags were upgraded by RST-Invent engineers so that the case could not be damaged by mechanical stress. All equipment on which the resource management system is built, works autonomously.
“We are very pleased that this year our project based on RFID-technology has won its place of honor among the winners. This will serve as an incentive for the development and implementation of even more interesting projects worthy of the same high praise among IT professionals” – commented Alexander Grebennik, Director General of RST-Invent.
The independent Project of the Year contest is being held by the GlobalCIO community for the eighth consecutive year. Over the years, it has become a full-fledged communication platform for IT directors and top managers who share successful experience in automating and digitalizing their companies. The best achievements in the field of development and support of information technologies in Russia are evaluated by the IT directors themselves. In 2019, more than 220 projects took part in the competition, of which only 193 IT projects were allowed to participate in the competition.
